The Ceremonial core of Canberra is losing its contact with the bush as the city's growth eats into the parks and bush that surround the Capital's core. The Brindabella wilderness is ten kilometres from Parliament House dwarfting it with an important message regarding priorities.

Our mission is to strengthen the connection between this wilderness and the city.

Bird varieties are a good indication of the ecologial health of a location.

There are surprisingly few birds in the dense native forest parklands around Parliament House. To get there birds need corridors to travel along. But more than corridors are needed good size patches are required as well.

Our mission is to work with farmers, ACT Forests, ACT Parks and Gardens to help facilitate native species planting along routes linking Canberra's centre to the wilderness areas.

Currently the Murrumbidge Corridor is the point of focus, with links from Casarina sands to the top of Stromlo ridge being the prime planting area.

We are putting our work where our mouth is. We are planting trees in their thousands and are running a nursery for seedlings collected from remaining local specimens. Our inital point of focus is on Acacia plantings.

We thank people, nurseries and groups that have contibuted with money, plants, advise, time and their own unique forms of help.
